Bio

Suturee is a New York based band, formed in August, 2007 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The main band members are Julian Brau and Rebecca Adorno, who met through mutual friends and immediately decided to work on music together. They self-released their first album in 2008. After playing a couple of shows in PR, in August 2008 Rebecca and Julian relocated to New York City and they’re currently working on a second album.

The band has a gloomy, murmur-like approach to songwriting and incorporate melodic and ominous vocal twists in each track. Layers of intricate textures, finger picking, drones and eerie vocal melodies blend together to create their sound.

Suturee is not a real word but could be used to describe someone who has been sutured.
